Want to make sure you're getting the most out of IPA? Let IPA training come to you!

We're pleased to announce the return of our popular regional IPA training series! IPA scientists will be coming to training facilities near you for two classes of hands-on IPA training. Day 1 is an introduction to IPA, and Day 2 is a condensed version of our popular IPA certification program. You can choose to take just one class, or both. Click below for details and registration links.

After participating in these classes, you will be able to:

  • Use IPA more efficiently to get quicker insights into your experimental systems
  • Generate testable hypotheses based on known biological knowledge
  • Easily search the scientific literature and find insights most relevant to your experimental model or question
  • Build dynamic pathway models to extend your understanding of your research
  • Quickly analyze your experimental data to identify key insights
  • Share your research and collaborate with your colleagues with the easy-to-use IPA interface

Day One – Fundamentals of IPA
This class focuses on the fundamentals of IPA and provides a greater level of comfort with its basic features.

Topics covered include:

  • Uploading large scale data
  • Functional and comparison analysis
  • Understanding which functions, pathways, genes, and diseases are most related to your dataset
  • Searching for literature findings related to your experimental data, creating customized pathways, generating testable hypotheses
  • Identify and prioritize the most relevant and promising molecular biomarker candidates from datasets at multiple phases of the drug discovery process

Day Two - IPA Certification
This condensed version of our popular Certification Program provides all training needed to pass the free IPA Certification Exam (exam offered online; passing the exam is necessary to become IPA certified). Registrants should have an active IPA account and should be comfortable with basic tasks in IPA such as uploading a dataset, running a basic analysis, and searching for information.

Topics covered include:

  • Expression Analysis
  • Functions and Pathways in IPA
  • Using IPA as a Knowledge and Discovery Tool
  • Biomarker Analysis in IPA
  • Toxicity Analysis in IPA
