September 2011 Release Overview

IPA's Fall 2011 release will strengthen the capabilities of the microRNA Target Filter by including a significant number of new microRNA-related Findings from several sources:

  • miRecords: all 2,600 experimentally validated human, rat, and mouse microRNA-mRNA interactions from ˜550 published articles
  • Literature Findings: 13,100 microRNA-related findings manually curated from published literature by Ingenuity scientific experts, experts from ˜650 articles, all of which can be accessed via Molecular Networks, Functional Analysis and Gene Views, providing unmatched details about microRNA biology

These new relationships are being added to the microRNA findings already released into IPA last January (details). These included:

  • Experimentally validated interactions from TarBase
  • High-confidence predicted interactions from Target Scan.

For researchers who need to prioritize microRNA and their mRNA targets in disease research, IPA's one-of-a kind microRNA Target Filter helps quickly prioritize targets using a comprehensive collection of more than 640,000 high-quality microRNA findings in the Ingenuity Knowledge Base, including experimentally determined and confidently predicted interactions. Unlike research relying upon disparate sources such as the literature and multiple databases, this single microRNA Target Filter – by accessing a single comprehensive set of high-quality microRNA findings – enables target prioritization in minutes instead of weeks.

IPA's microRNA research capabilities are:

Comprehensive

  • Use over 640,000 microRNA-related findings to provide deeper insight into microRNA biology
  • Access a broad set of published human, mouse, and rat interactions
  • Apply the microRNA Target Filter plus comprehensive content to aid target prioritization

Unique

  • Prioritize using the microRNA Target Filter to filter microRNA-mRNA interactions by disease, pathway, and more
  • Quickly focus on candidate targets using one-of-a kind microRNA Target Filter
  • See and filter on whether interactions are experimentally determined or predicted

High Quality

  • Leverage published, experimentally validated, and confidently predicted microRNA interactions
  • Access high-quality findings from leading third party databases
  • Manually curated and expertly reviewed by Ingenuity PhD scientists
