Enabling Java on Windows Browsers

To enable Java in Firefox for PC

  • From the Tools menu, choose Add-ons
  • Click on the Plugins icon on the left
  • Look for the “Java Platform” plugin and click the Enable button

To enable Java in Internet Explorer 6 or 7 or 8 for PC

  • From the Tools menu, choose “Internet Options
  • Click the Advanced tab
  • Scroll to the “Java (Sun)” and make sure it is selected
  • Close all Internet Explorer browsers

To enable Java in Internet Explorer 9 or 10 for PC

  • From the Tools menu, choose “Manage add-ons”
  • Select “All add-ons” from “Show” dropdown
  • Scroll to the “Oracle America, Inc.” or “Sun Microsystems, Inc.” and make sure that all Java related entries are “Enabled”
  • Close the “Manage add-ons” dialog and then all Internet Explorer browsers

Enable Java in Internet Explorer 9 for PC

To enable Java in Chrome for PC

  • From the menu opened from the wrench icon, choose Settings
  • Click the “Show advanced settings” link at the bottom of the Settings tab
  • In the Privacy section, click on the “Content settings” button
  • Scroll to the Plug-ins section and click the “Disable individual plug-ins” link
  • Scroll to the Java section and click the Enable link

ENABLING JAVA ON MAC BROWSERS

To enable Java in Firefox for Mac

  • From the Preferences menu, choose the General tab
  • Click the Manage Add-ons… button
  • In the Privacy section, click on the “Content settings” button
  • In the Add-ons Manager window that pops up, make sure the Java Applet Plug-in is enabled

To enable Java in Firefox for Mac

To enable Java in Safari 5 or 6 for Mac

  • From the Preferences menu click the Security tab
  • Make sure the Java checkbox is enabled in the Web content section
