In a few days we’ll be heading to Rochester, MN to attend the Individualizing Medicine Conference: 2015, an annual meeting hosted by the Mayo Clinic. It will be held from September 20-23 at the Mayo Clinic Civic Center, and will feature the theme “From Promise to Practice.” Of course, QIAGEN Bioinformatics will be exhibiting, and we hope you’ll stop by for a demo of our clinical and translational research products, platforms and partnerships: Ingenuity® Variant Analysis™, Biomedical Genomics Workbench, QIAGEN Clinical Insight, HGMD®, Inova Genomes and the Allele Frequency Community.
We love this event because it’s quite intimate, with only 22 exhibitors, just over 1,000 attendees, and a well-rounded speaker roster, which includes our very own Sean Scott. He will be one of six executives on stage for a presentation, moderated by the Mayo Clinic’s Chris Schad.
Details about our presentation:
Topic: Enabling Precision Oncology with Next-Generation Technologies — From Sample to Insight
Speaker: Sean Scott, VP Clinical Genomics, QIAGEN Bioinformatics
Day & Time: Tue., September 22 from 3:15 – 5 p.m. (concurrent Session 4E)
In addition to Sean’s presentation, we’re looking forward to checking out several other sessions and lectures with topics including pharmacogenomics, ethics, microbiome, cancer, and other areas where precision medicine is impacting health care. The keynote opening address, “Integrating Precise, Personal and Individualized Medicine into Routine Clinical Practice,” discusses the state of genomic medicine and will be delivered by the former director of the Mayo Clinic Gianrico Farrugia, M.D.
We are really looking forward to all the excitement this event promises, and we hope to see you there.
